Video Wall

A video wall consists of several video displays, e.g. LCDs or plasma displays, that are placed on top of each other or side by side. Each of the available displays only shows the section of a video frame that corresponds to its position within the array of displays. Therefore, a video frame – or each frame of a video stream – to be shown is split into different sections. This allows to use the overall screen size of all available displays to create a large screen.

In contrast to expensive, proprietary and limited hardware solutions, our Video Wall system based on NMM allows for arbitrary scalability, employing inexpensive commodity PC hardware, and offers the full flexibility and programmability of a software driven solution. In addition, all features of NMM are available, for example high-quality synchronization of presentation of a number of connected video walls showing the same content.
